Use of Pure Sodium Glutamate at the Enterprises of Food Concentrates and Meat-Processing Industries of Russia (I quarter of 2004)
In the first quarter of 2004, Consulting Agency Market Advice Ltd. carried out a study that concerned the use of pure sodium glutamate at the enterprises of food concentrates and meat-processing industries of Russia in order to study main features of the sodium glutamate market in the Russian Federation. During the study, technologists and sales department experts from 10 manufacturers of food concentrates and snacks and 40 manufacturers of meat was surveyed.
The following data were obtained in the study:
- Lists of products made at the surveyed enterprises where the sodium glutamate is used
- Main price brackets for products where the sodium glutamate is used
- Quality characteristics of the raw materials offered by various manufacturers and manufacturing countries
- Points of view regarding degree of harmfulness/utility of the sodium glutamate use in production
- Basic proportions, in which the sodium glutamate is used in manufacture
- The most preferable size of sodium glutamate crystals to manufactures
- Volumes of sodium glutamate consumption at the enterprises (per month, per year)
- How much time the enterprises have cooperated with their supplier/suppliers of the sodium glutamate; reasons for changing a supplier
