The Russian Market of Flour; Results of the Survey of the Largest Russian Manufacturers of Flour (IV quarter of 2004)

In the fourth quarter of 2004, Consulting Agency Market Advice Ltd. carried out a research study of the Russian market of flour in order to study it with accent on current situation and prospects of development in whole and in the context of the largest enterprises of the Russian Federation. For this purpose, an expert survey of managements (main technologists, experts of purchase departments, experts of sales departments, chiefs of planned-economic departments, chiefs of stocking departments, analysts, commercial and general directors) of 50 leading enterprises of the branch was performed.
 
The following results were received in the study:
 
  1. Production patterns for different types of flour and their shares at the surveyed enterprises; the share of flour in the total volume of production
  2. Structure of the flour made for different directions of use (packed, bulk, filled) and under standards, GOST and TU (Russian Requirement Specifications)

  4. Raw material used for manufacture of flour (Russian, from CIS countries, from other countries)
  5. Condition of the equipment for manufacture of flour at the surveyed enterprises
  6. Attitudes of respondents of the survey to haemoglobinisation of flour and to introduction of this system to manufactures
  7. Approximate volumes of production of flour by the end of 2004
  8. The share of grain in the cost price of flour at the surveyed enterprises
  9. The most important quality factors of flour taken into account by industrial consumers and population
  10. Demand fro composite mixes
  11. Estimation of competition level from foreign manufacturers of flour in the Russian Federation
  12. Sales patterns for flour at the surveyed enterprises
